A FAIRY TALE WEDDING AT COL DRUSCIÈ

The Col Drusciè played a role in the festivities to celebrate the fairy tale wedding of Bsharat Maryam Hani Kamal to Ibrahim Elias Salloum. The young Lebanese-Jordanian couple declared their eternal love to each other in the minor basilica of Santi Filippo e Giacomo at Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The wedding party featured three days of fun in the most beautiful locations of the Ampezzo basin, including this renowned restaurant at the summit of the Tofana-Freccia nel Cielo Ski resort. Here the future bride and groom greeted their 600 guests for a lovely après-ski party on the snow in the evening of Friday, April 1st.
At rifugio Col Dusciè, which is only accessible with a cable car lift, everything was studied down to the last detail and staff was busy working for days to insure that everything was perfect. There were massive amounts of fresh flowers in all colours and refined decorations spruced up the spectacular balcony that dominates the entire valley, as well as the wooden columns and the stairs. The tables were covered in colourful tablecloths and the chair cushions had a floral pattern that was colour-coordinated with the rest of the furnishings. And to create the right atmosphere, there were lots of charming light details like candles, tiki torches, torch lights and candelabras.
It was an elite event in all effects, organized by the same Italian-British company that planned and managed George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding in Venice: so even international VIPs choose the rifugio Col Drusciè!
