Cortina, 15 July 2022: On Friday 15 July at the Cima Tofana (3,244 m), daybreak will be a spectacular, seldom-seen sight: Witness the magnificent spectacle of nature awakening as the sun rises from the highest panoramic terrace of Cortina d’Ampezzo. An experience of profound emotions, bringing you closer to the soul of the mountains. The Tofana Freccia nel Cielo daybreak excursion begins with a cable-car trip from Cortina when the skies are still dark. The Col Druscié gondola takes visitors up to first stretch, followed by the cable car to Ra Valles at 2,475 m and, for the final stretch, another cable car to the Cima Tofana peak at 3,244 m. On arrival at destination visitors can enjoy the silent spectacle of an extraordinary dawn on the large terrace at the Cima Tofana, followed by a hearty breakfast to mark the beginning of a magical day on the most beautiful Dolomite peaks in the world and, if you wish, a trip to the “Per Aspera ad Astra” exhibition dedicated to the mountain guides of Cortina on the upper floor of the Cima Tofana bar.
