During Summer 2020, only the gondola “Cortina d’Ampezzo – Col Druscié” is working.
“Col Druscié-Ra Valles” and “Ra Valles-Cima Tofana” cable cars and the trekking path of Ra Valles area are closed due to renovation works. The two cable cars will open again in Winter 2020/2021.
RA ZESTES PATH
Enjoyable hike at high altitude, which allows you to go back to Cortina, starting from Ra Valles, walking on paths created by soldiers during the first World War. The path, descending quiet for the whole time, travels along a ridge that offers to the excursionists an unforgettable view on the valley below, and on the magnificent Dolomites peaks.
Starting from Capanna Ra Valles, you will descend along the ski slopetowards Forcella Ra Valles, until you have reached path n.407. Once you have arrived at the pass (starting point of ForcellaRossa ski slope), you have to walk upward along the North rocks, following path n.446. At the end of the descent, you have to take path n.409, to the right – South –PièTofana/Ghedina Lake. Keep on walking on path n.410 until the beginning of the gravel road, which brings to Col Druscié. Here, you will find the starting point of the Universe paths, below Col Druscié. The arrival is at Col Druscié restaurant, nearby the homonym station of the cable car.
Set off from Col Drusciè descending along trail 413 to the start of the funicular for Cortina.
Beginning in Capanna Ra Valles, this path for experts allows you to descend, walking along the renowned ForcellaRossa ski slope, one of the most beloved by skiers in the whole Alps. You will then arrive at PièTofana, where you can climb upward towards Col Druscié or continuing the descent towards Ghedina Lake, and then Cortina.
From Col Druscié restaurant, you will immerse yourself into the woods, for an enjoyable walk towards the spectacular Ghedina Lake. From there, you can then continue the path, arriving in Cortina.
Leaving Col Druscié restaurant, you have todescend along one of the Universe paths, until the beginning of path n.410. From this point, you have to follow the signs towards the lake, and then continue walking on the gravel road, which runs along the municipal road, until you have reached the ski slope Druscié B, to go back to the starting point of the cable car, and hence to Cortina city centre.
