“Per Aspera ad Astra” Exhibition

This exhibition gifted by Tofana to the Cortina Mountain Guides and Scoiattoli can be viewed on the upper floor of the Cima Tofana bar and is meant to be the unique marriage of those who built the Freccia nel Cielo, the peaks that host it, and the people of Ampezzo.

Mountaineering has obviously evolved over the years, but the guides of Cortina, born with the legendary Grohmann, have remained amongst the strongest in the world.

The Dolomites have always been a desirable conquering ground, given their vertical roughness and alternating chimneys, terraces, scree and peaks, from which the mountaineer can truly say that he or she has passed through difficulties to reach the stars: that is why “Per aspera ad astra” (through difficulties to get to the stars).
